yep. I bought my DVD/SACD player for 10% of the original (when new) price, owner wanted BD... but the real very expensive high-end stuff will hold it's value somewhat better
Even the high end products are a steal when buying used equipment I would rather have something that has been settled in for a few years anyway, the sound usually gets better with age
These were a bargain at £700 for me 3 years ago especially when they were £4k 20 years ago.They sounds out of this world. Been using Monitor Audios high end since 1994.

Monitor audio's are really nice, I managed to buy a 5 speaker silver setup about 3 years ago for £220 because the guys wife had given him an ultimatum for the speakers being too big for their room. Lovely sound

Bargain,i bet you love them. The more one pays the better it gets with Monitor Audio. Trouble is if people think owning a S2's is expensive a Hi Fi habit is every bit as bad and can be many times worse. My father had a Hi Fi shop in Twickenham all of the 70's which we lived above for a few years.You could say it's in the blood. After a sabbatical of 20 years 2 years ago i treated myself to this. I could never have afforded this rare beauty when it was new a Pink Triangle Export.
Been playing a lot of my old 12" and enjoying every minute of it.
