The ebay RS2 replica I had was terrible fitment/quality, the ebay Wagner Evo replica was fine.

There are quite a few people on motorgeek who have used the $100 manifolds with no issues.

I would expect to have to do some interior clean up, but at the price you cant complain.

If you go for one I would check it for fitment as soon as you get it so it can be sent back if necessary. It may also be a bit pot luck as the quality control will probably not be that tight.

We were at a car show few months ago here in Los Angeles and Wagner had a stand next to us. We were chit chatting about their products, abt, mtm etc, and LS cartec came up. The new exhaust manifold, the foundry, the mixture, the problems.... He wasnt so optimistic about this new exhaust manifold. Wagner might bring back the tubular exhaust manifold, for a limited production, he said.
So lets wait a few years and see how they hold up.

Back to the cheap ebay: Ive seen super cracked STR manifold but also, my friend has one on his 560whp CQ, and his not shy to drive that car.
I guess, you need luck with it.

I've bought an LS Cartec one. Looks very good, not fitted it yet but it is from the Wagner casts so should be ok as long as they've not used bad material.

So I've read that original rs2 ones are prone to cracking - as guess all are on many diff engines and makes as the nature of their job - but is a weld and fettle good enough to repair..
