    2.8 AAH upgrades

Going to be doing a full rebuild on 2.8 AAH off my Cab, just wondering if you anyone has any recommendations on improvements while I have it in bits. Cheers.

Ya, replace it with a 1.8T. Lighter and more power.

TBH, apart from Dave's comment, which I don't disagree with, to get really accurate feedback can you advise was the car will be used for - Daily, dry Sundays, etc. ???

      Thanks.

I quite like the AAH and I think it suits the cab, I am not looking for crazy improvements on power as the cab is just a cruiser, just wondered if there were any alternative cam options etc.

There are some very worth while improvements just buy port matching/porting and polishing the heads, i.e. IM and EM and throttle body. Have a read here......

Not sure about cams but i would keep the originals and save a big wedge of cash.

Alternatively i could let you have my 46k ACK 30V @ 193bhp but then i will be depriving myself of that. Second thought na.

Alternatively get yourself a 3.2 V6 TFSI Audi lump @265bhp lump.

Thanks for that, I did have a look at 12v but find the site a bit tricky to navigate. Thanks the offer but also have a ack from a4 quattro doner waiting to go into another high mile 2.8 cab, I do love the 30v 2.8 it should have gone into the cab.

Have thought about it, was offered a 3.7 this week for cheap money but looks like a lot of work to squeeze it in.
