K Simmmonds mail box is open for business.

Right have cleared some space for PM's.

All previously sold items items will be packaged and sent fully insured this weekend as it will be the first chance I've had.

I put some effort into packaging so that parts arrive in the same condition I sent them in as opposed to just slinging it in box like some members I'll refrain from naming so it takes me quite a long time.

I'm only going to be here until April when I move to Alaska/The Yukon (so Canada as well) Territory to work on the Placier Gold mines and machinery so everything has to go by then.

Apart from my RS2 which I'm keeping for a vehicle to use when I get back home to visit.

I'm taking my A6Q with me as it's ideal for the dirt roads and lugging my mechanics tools around in, but I'll get a rough old pick up when I'm out there as well.

Still doing a conversion with my B3 Q but going for 1.8T power instead of I5 as their lighter and easy to get parts for, plus I'll need somethig to do in the winter months out there!!! That car will probably end up over there as well.

So the best of my I5 turbo parts are yet to come.

Well have a chat about it on Sunday mate.

Probably wouldn't be permanent, just a few years unless I really take to it, the money to made working on Gold mines and servicing the machinery is amazing.

will you be updating the thread on here with how you get on?

and how much is it going to cost to ship the cars over, would it not be cheaper and easier to purchase one out there?

edit - good luck with your new venture, hope it goes to plan

Kick the sod's up the ***, I'm insured with Tesco Bank, who I can't recommend highly enough.

Sent the V5/MOT etc of yesterday and I should have the funds paid straight into my account buy the end of the week. No pissing about with cheques.

I'd never even seen the Sky documentary/series until May bank holiday earlier this year...
Was flicking the channels and stopped on Gold Rush... and spent 12 hours watching it...
It's volatile with weather and conditions, but if you get a good hit on the pay dirt, you're laughing...
Didn't Schnabler clear over £3mill last season???

As you say, opurtunities for big machinery maintenance... in an awesome environment...

You only get one go in this life 👍

Yeah of course I'll be updating as soon as I get internet.

No sure on shipping cost going to look into that today.

I have a lot of mechanical tool's as well as my carpentry/building stuff which I'll need out there to get a decent job. Plan is load it all in the car ship it out there.

I'll get a rough old truck when I'm there as I'll need it for moving engines etc.

But you can't beat what you know, and I know my Audi's well, plus I'm going to want to have something comfy for long trips of which there will be many.

Yeah, I've watched all six series, it's kinda addictive, the Hoffmans are idiots, I could do better than them with a pan

Parker Schnabel works his guts out and deserves every ounce of gold he gets, that's the sort of crew I'd be looking to work with.

There's a bit of luck to it but I understand the geology which is another point in my favour, and there's far better crews than the ones on telly desperate for hard-working people.

                      Aye talk Sunday.

I'm hopping it's just an itch that needs scratching, trouble is if some of this hot tottie you mentioned materialises,i fear that you won't be wanting to move away from where you'll be burying your root.

I was looking into shipping classics back here and a friend shipping an american muscle car from the west coast to birmingham and that cost him 2200 gbp

shipping your car with all your stuff in is definately the best move to cut down on costs as a container would be expensive to move everything, even a pallet would be.

check craigslist for prices as stuff is not as cheap as it seems compared to what we pay for cars, how will you go about visa's? get a working visa or something else?
