    C4 electric rear blind

    Hello all

Was the rear window electric blind available for the saloon only?
I have a manual blind in the avant but might look into adapting an A8 blind, seems a few cheap enough on ebay to give it a go.

I have never seen/heard of a C4 electric rear window blind. Just manual.

But then I checked with my friend Kate and she said, "Of course there was an electric roller blind - 4A5861329A. In fact Audi Tradition carries them"

and Item 15 becomes Item 33 here:

I had looked through etka but that p/n would suggest for saloon/sedan only, is Audi Tradition suggesting it will fit both?
I'd come across this one which had got me thinking about it. If you imagine the blind, as viewed from underneath in picture 4, would be oriented on the vertical trim of the rear hatch. The rake of the screens is pretty similar so unless the length is an issue, I don't see why it wouldn't fit.

Although I'm not speculating to the tune of 400 euros to find out

        Sorry. I lost the plot

You want an electric/motorized sun blind for a C4 avant.

        I don't think so.

My recommendation would be to stop at the side of the road. Open the hatch and pull the manual blind up and attach it to the OE hooks. Saves 400 Euros minimum.

Audi Tradition didn't say that it was for an avant. "Audi A6/S6/Avant quattro" is just the A6Q listing that you find the C4 S6 sedan/saloon in.

As already stated, I certainly wouldn't spend 400e on one, let alone 700 from Tradition.
There are plenty of A8 blinds around £40 which could be worth a shot
Igor, what's your experience of the blinds? The blind as pictured by Dave does look a bit weak, the A8 and C5 A6 look a lot more substantial

Electric sunblinds are for saloons only. It's just too big to fit in avant hatch.

You are a very odd person or is it a Canadian personality? I make a general comment and you get all model/catalogue specific. Odd.

At this stage you know what Dave is like - precise and he likes everyone else to be the same. But I still love him.

If fact I'd go so far as to say all of us on here are odd, look at me !

It explains why we run these S cars and why we're on here.

No need for the issue to develop into anything.
