    Ebay manifold

    Thoughts please...
    eBay number - 182182179926

Do we think this would be a worth while punt for an RS conversion when mated to a hoffer hybrid RS turbo? Will this be similar in flow to the oem RS version?

Can't afford an RS or Wagner version so am looking at other options

    Thanks in advance
    Chris

Ha yeh obviously it won't last but the cars gets very rare use these days and seeing as I can't afford loads I am looking for ok alternatives.

Thanks for the link john it's difficult to get to do on a phone.

Sjw, how much did you pay if you don't mind me asking? And how do you find it?

See the exchange is making it around 340, I just paid a little less about a year ago.
Been running for about 600miles fitted no bother, early days but all good so far.

Some quite good experience of cast china manifolds on our finnish forum. They could need some small porting and finishing inside the cannels, but other wise they seems to hold well. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cast-Iron-...sAAOSwH71XPMWg

I ummed and arred about cheap manifolds but bods said on here don't waste your money .. So chased after and RS2 one, then you've got probs as most are cracked ..

It's not the cost of the manifold if it doesn't last but the hassle of removing it for another one if it splits or cracks..

So a lot of the Finnish forum members run these type of manifolds successfully with a bit of work first?

That's really cheap I guess they'll crack anyway just like the original RS2 manifold?

Hi Chris I had similar setup but the manifold was cast unit not stainless needed little work inside outside it took about 1 hour I had no cracks after a year and my 3" custom down pipe fitted straight on was a bonus as I just had it built at the time 👍🏻

Yes, most important is to look and grind down casting(sand) bits that can fall off. Not saying there are any on all of them though.

The stainless china manifolds are crap, had one, and the wastegate almost fall off because the manifold cracked badly.
