rare car, how many of those parts do you see every day? If you need a part badly enough on a £300,000 car you'd pay it. Supply and demand.

Plus if you are doing up one of those you live in a whole different world to us lesser mortals!

I would say a lot of that is to keep the ornament hunters at bay. If you owned a real one, and phoned him up i am sure you would get more sensible prices.
