Hi guys just to tell you the tale of insuring my s2 and a2 as an over 60 driver I have been insured with Rias for a no.of years initially the premium was very good but recently the cost has become extortion, this years cost for the S2 £546.00 fully comp protected includes legal insurance all the benefits you would expect except b/down cover which is £98.00 extra. The a2 £468. no legal cover no b/down cover ,so I went on to compare with Hastings premiere the S2 with ALL the benefits £248.80 if I buy immediately a one off payment £208.00 the A2 with M&S insurance with all the benefits £278 one off payment £245.The upshot is by shopping around I have halved my yearly premium. Any of you had a similar experience.Derek

I was with rias for a little while and they were usually quite competitive until they wanted double on my 2.6 cabriolet,
I got in touch and they said that I would not automatically get a good offer each year and that I would better off, if applying as a new customer.
So I did
The previous £250
The auto renewal £475
Apply as new customer£380
Told them to do one, now using Swift cover
48 years old, clean licence, max no claims, professional driver, I picked up a 225 quattro TT at the weekend £175 comprehensive, so as you pointed out it is worth checking around from time to time -
Hi Derek I always shop around it just pays and always save money. This year am looking to go agreed value on my S2 but am currently with Performance Direct and last years premium was £120 and this year renewal has just come through at £147 yours seems very expensive!!?Comment

I was getting crazy quotes for my s2, all because my postcode is now different. My current insurers Elephant wanted £550 others wanted vastly more...Esure £1100.
Now going with direct Line £200.1995 Audi S2 AvantComment
