Any BTDT out there as i cant find anything on search. These are the black rubber trims and the lower edge i am trying to remove. They don't seem to budge easily so i am wondering if there is anything i am missing?
I got the rest of them off and found a few horrors lurking under there
Look on the wheel side theres a tab, pry a thin flatheaded screwdriver in there and push it out and the trims should come off no probs so long as youve removed the 2 plastic 10mm nuts on the inside

Yep there's two plastic 10 mm nuts on the back of the wing, normally covered in crud, I Waxoil the wing behind them when refitting as their a trap for salt and mud. I can see you've given the area good going over with rust killer, when was the respray done mate as that's quite nasty corrosion?
I have few of those lower wing trims in good condition in case you need a replacement.
1990 B3 2.0 80 quattro.
1992 C4 2.8 Avant quattro
1994 MTM RS2.
1998 B5 TDI quattro Sport.
2000 B5 TQS.
This might help. Nuts are behind wheel arch liner. Looks like you have caught it just in time.
Picture speaks a thousand words. Thanks all, the ETKA diagram threw me as it doesn't show those nuts for the lower trim. Explains why hitting it with a hammer didn't budge it
