And sure an s2 is less effort for the turbo swap, but I'd still want to pull all the suspension and refinish it, and re seal the motor and all. I'd love to get an s2, I guess it'll depend on how much I can spend when the time comes. From what I've found left drive s2 avants seem to go for a little more than what I've seen on the forum

I never had an s2 or rs2 where the engine didn't need work on it. It's an old car so job is a job

Perhaps we need to remember that Tom Saltino's excellent "RS2 America", many thousands of dollars later, started life as a B4 Audi 80 avant.
