    potential new purchase

morning all. might be looking for another Audi soon. S2 avant would be my preferred choice. would have to be immaculate with full history and obviously not overpriced some overpriced crud that is currently floating about on ebay/gumtree

had an RS2 before, lots of VW's and currently have a mint Forester STI. that might be going and looking to replace with another 5cyl turbo.

Please feel free to pass on this question, just wondering why you decided to sell your previous RS2 ?

Sold the RS2 as we were moving house. All the BMX collection went at the same time. I did well on the house we were in ( tripled in value ) but obviously, everything else had in the mean time.

Just been watching a couple of YT videos recently and fancy another. Wouldn't go RS2 again as the prices i have seen for what i'd say were below average cars is just crazy. They aren't worth the asking price, hence why they aren't selling. Keep seeing the same ones month after month.

Problem now, is that a few gready traders artificially inflate prices and every private owner thinks theirs is worth the same. That's not the reality though.

Will pay for the right car, just not overpay for the wrong car.

Keep seeing the 18k one on ebay for sale. It's been re-listed for the last 5 months. At what point will the seller realise it is too much?

This may be a bit left field, but maybe consider a manual UrS6 Avant with RS2 spec.

Should be well within your budget and not much slower than an RS2 for a lot less money.

          Just suggestin...............

Not for me. Shape of them more than anything. Think the 80/S2/RS2 shape was just about right and still looks great today. Ur4/6 a bit long proportion wise.

Appreciate that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but have a look at them when they are lowered.

Anyway, here is a thread re RS2 spec engines.
