Hopefully.... We're a lonely bunch if there isn't....
The SORN rate for summer only cars will push numbers up, but if you search the Ur quattros (audi quattro RHD for example),
Statistics for AUDI QUATTRO RHD.. See how many cars of any make and model are left on Britain's roads.
there's a real pattern of summer tax and winter SORN that's not so obvious on the S2's...85 WR Urquattro, 85 20vT International liveried RallyRep

Following the numbers there were 293 S2 Estates registered in 1994, 136 are know to survive today (either taxed or SORN). If the '94 registration figure is right (they did sell in tiny numbers in the U.K. so it could well be) then actually the survival rate is pretty good. There just weren't that many to start with.
The Quattro is another kettle of fish as over 2,700 were registered in the U.K. Most were 10Vs. The 20V (RR) sold in very small numbers although bizarrely the U.K. took a big chunk of the overall numbers built.Comment

I have no don't doubt those numbers are right. Don't forget it dosent include exported cars, there is about a dozen avants running about this little island that i know of.
Attached a copy of the Audi sales figures to compare..
Look up the 100 S4 quattro on the DVLA site, then look at the Sales history. Of my 6speed manual S4 Saloon they made a whopping 84 in RHD form, wonder how many of those are left, of the CQ20v..Attached Files91CQ20v - Gone to a new home

Thanks for posting the numbers, that's brilliant!
Also reinforced what I'd always believed; that the RS2 was in fact the best selling S2!
For my sins I ran a big VAG dealership back in the early '90's. Most S2s were either VAG demo/management cars or for dealer principals. So actually very few were actually sold new to the public. We sold a couple of coupes, no Avants.
Then the RS2 was launched (Millbrook, Derek Bell at the wheel, 4 up on the bowl at 163 [emoji106]). Deliveries were strictly for customers and it sold out in a couple of months, four by us.
So what's generally accepted as the rarest in fact isn't!
Other reason for liking the numbers? Well beside a '93 S2 Avant (ex-VAG launch press car) sits an '83 80 quattro (didn't realises there were less than 300 registered?) and an '82 Quattro (RHD CA chassis car).Comment

Hmmm.. Very, very interesting... Our 1993 S2 Estate was originally an AFN Brentwood demonstrator complete with AFN private plate...85 WR Urquattro, 85 20vT International liveried RallyRep

S2 Estate... How-many-left?
Case in point[emoji106]
My bet is that half of all S2/S4s registered before 1994 were originally either registered to dealers or VAG.
If you think that back then there were 600 odd dealers, the numbers involved were tiny.
Wonder how many others cars on here that survive today started life being thrashed to death!Comment

I've also got the original bill of sale, and at best part of £37,000 it was 8lo0dy expensive for 1993, probably only a dealer could sucessfully absorb..Case in point[emoji106]

136 of the 503 registered survive today. A 27% survival rate I'd say is pretty good. Funnily enough as with the Audi 90 20Vs most of the '91 registered cars were registered by VAG to clear stocks ahead of the B4. The 20V effectively died then.
Check out the original 80 quattro 2.1; of the 949 cars registered just 44 are known to survive today. Of that just 7 are currently on the road! That's a 4.6% survival rate, probably making it the rarest of the lot...Comment

You can blame rust for the low survival rate of the 2.1 quattros. A lot of the 20v CQ's were parted out for parts, i guess they helped keep all the S2's on the road
