    Slow internet

I know there is a few computer boffins on here so i'll start here first, My laptop has got really slow at scrolling down pages on the internet pages, even with no other programs opened, and whatever i do doesnt seem to change it. As im no expert at computers, i thought somebody might be able to help? I'm running aol on the platinum 2meg program so it shouldnt be this bad.
It seems to not scroll smoothly and jump sections at a time......

Use something like Process Explorer to see if anything is stealing your processor cycles http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilitie...sExplorer.html. It's free. In the past I've had problems with svchost.exe. The bottom pane will give you more information on any selected process.

            Hey Beetie,

If nothing is running flat out and slowing the machine down, as suggested above, then the symptoms you describe are often the result of a crash or windows update causing windows to become unhappy with the video drivers. It sounds strange, but worth reinstalling your vid drivers...won't harm and likely to help.

            Cheers n
