Depends on the spec of the turbo - but your injectors will struggle to get much over 430bhp.

Have you got better rods in there?

hotside no? I would say 480 ish if you have a bit lower compression as well.

Is it on the original ECU or aftermarket?

            Hi Doug,

Lots of questions: how does placing the MAF on the pressure side protect it?

I have a 26/27 turbo not sure on the spec, how could i tell as i have no plate on it? I too have stronger rods, lower compression, RS2 em, 7A ecam, twin intercoolers, water injection, ported head and orange injectors hope to get 450bhp.... with 2.2 bar though i know it will run out of steam at high revs.

            Thanks for any help.

            Darren.

You will need better injectors to hit 450, and then it depends on the exact spec of the turbo. If the turbo is specced right, then you should hit it.

Is the head on the block? A double headgasket hybrid would lower compression.

Darren - why have you got twin intercoolers?

If the MAF is on the pressurised side you do not get a revese flow of air on gear changes. This is what rips the wire off - getting sucked hard(high revs), then changing gear and the pressurised air getting blown out the intake.

You will really struggle to get 450bhp on the RS2 EM. And again - it depends on the spec of the turbo - some K26/27 will not do above 330bhp while others will do 500bhp

not sure about the turbo spec and yes head is on .do i still need to lower the compression even though i,m using water injection ? i thought this brings temp down and allows you to run more boost ?

                      Doug,

Its all in a ur and without modification to the look of the front of the car i cant get a large enough intercooler in, hence i have a 30% larger intercooler in the usual place and an AAN one on the opposite side and send the inlet pipe round to the rear of the inlet manifold on the radiator side.

How can i tell the spec of my turbo?

                      Thanks - Darren.

Yeah - you should be able to keep inlet temps down with water injection. Lower compression helps you to run more boost and still keep high timing. It all adds up but it sounds like you just need to wait and see what your car will do.

Easiest is to ask the company you bought it from. There is supposed to be a 6 or 8 stamped on the hotside on some turbos. There are part numbers on the hotside and coldside - but that doesn't tell you anything about the wheels.
