    Big thanks to Graham (tekkno435)

Just gotta say thanks to Graham for the parts at the weekend
Air-con condensor getting fitted next Monday Mine had a huge split in the bottom of it, found this after noticing air wasn't cold anymore and getting it re-charged you could hear it coming out just as fast as it was going in. This was before the undertray incedent below, so not connected.

And also big thanks for the undertray after mine decided to depart from underneath the car at 150+ Never mind, still beat the Saab 9000 Carlsson that thought he was quicker. Still very suprised at how quick it was though for a 2.3 turbo'ed 4 cyl 16v..

It really is amazing what goes through your mind when something unknown goes wrong, I had the engine replacement all worked out in 2/3 seconds when I heard the BANG

    Thanks Graham

Well actually, you need to thank Kenny (Sidspud) for the undertray as he gave it to me in the first place. In the scheme of things though i can't then see my way clear to actually charging for it as that wouldn't be right so i have merely passed on Kenny's generosity. But you're welcome anyway.

Yep, new one on so tight it won't come off in a hurry. Old one was broken on the front leading edge in the middle. As the speeds got higher the air must have pushed it down to the point that the front leading edge dug into the road and snapped it backwards.
Luckily the fixings at the back held and it didn't come flying out from behind the car.
Did make a good awfull noise scraping along the road
Can't believe what brittle and crappy the undertray stuff is made of. Was a bit like fibreglass

Scary stuff! I can imagine that might have sounded like big ends or a holed piston for the first couple of seconds!!

I had that happen to me once!! Scared the hell out of me, I thought something major had gone down Luckily it was just a bit of plastic. So i then bought a new one and fitted it for about 2 weeks. Then it came off and has stayed off. I think Aelred has it ??
