    S2 Parts To Northern Ireland?

A member has bought S2 parts from me to convert his 7A Coupe quattro. Parts are:

    Complete ABY engine
CGR 6 speed tranny with linkage
    ABY front subframe
    CGR Front driveshafts
    ABY PAS rack
ABY ECU and engine wiring harness
    ABY down pipe
    ABY front crossmember
    ABY intercooler

I have spent the most part of today tearing these parts off the car, they certainly occupy a lot of space . The question is:

Would it work out cheaper to ship these parts to him (would have to go into a single container) or for him to take a trip to Essex, England with a big lorry or at the very least a Luton and collect himself? I can't even begin to imagine how much shipping will cost!

A merc sprinter or tranny van is more than enough for this. Think about it, this stuff fit into the confines of an S2 shell, it'll fit into the back of a tranny van no probs. Best thing for the engine and box though is to pack them around well with some palletts. Dents from the inside out are a nightmare;-)
A courier is going to want them paletted up, you will find someone who will do this.
    a) will it be worth the cost?
    b) would you trust them not to do any damage?

I think you're right here, it would definitely work out cheaper, he can also check everything is the way it should be. I don't trust shippers not to damage anything.

Add a propshaft to the list. If you can get me a price, it'll be much appreciated. Member is Mark with 7A Coupe quattro
