    Parcel2go

    Hi!,

Would be interested to hear from others who have had problems with Parcel2go.
I cannot fault the effeciency and speed of collection/delivery, but they seem to be a bit "rough" with handling the packages.
Having exhausted my patience with their claims department, I have decided to make a claim against them for the full replacement cost of the item they damaged.
In my case they broke a camshaft in two!
Don't need to have a CSI style investigation. It left here in pristine, carefully packaged condition and arrived in two pieces. Mmmm..!
So would be interested to hear about others experiences, especially if they made a claim.
    Thanks.

Cant say i've had a problem with them, the problem is when the packages are being shipped the drivers / loaders dont give a sh*t about them.

I know somebody who works for a parcel company, where at lunch times cause theres no chairs they sit on the parcels!!

Count me in. They reduced a very well packaged ellipsoid headlamp into something resembling a packet of crisps. I have just recieved this after two weeks of badgering them:

        Good Afternoon,

Unless you are willing to provide us with the p2g reference number or
the claim ID number you received when the claim was submitted, then I am
unable to look into the current status of your claim. If you could
please provide me with this number then I will be happy to look into
        this further for you.
        Best Regards

        Parcel2go.com claims department
provided this information twice. I'd be happy to collaborate.

          Thanks Graham,

Unfortunately this isn't the States so we can't do a Class Action Suit or whatever its called. Just trying to determine whether this is commonplace.
In my book as they have failed to resolve the issue whithin the timescale they quoted, they ought to pay for their negligence. As the item they broke was unused, I am going to try for the replacement value. Being honourable, I reimbursed the third party immediately after receiving pictures of the damaged packaging. He initially refused to accept the parcel and made notes on the documentation.
Its frustrating that even if you are reasonable enough to accept that accidents happen, no one is honest enough to put their hand up to it!
They have until Monday to rectify the matter.

            Update!

            Hi!,

Well the threat was taken seriously and I now have my cheque. It is dated the 02/09/05. So either they are so incompetent that they have put the wrong date on or it has been sitting around for 3 weeks.

So morale of the story is to argue that they have frustrated the process and tell them you are going to claim for the FULL replacement value of the item damaged. Although they have settled, I was quite prepared to start the proceedings. I suspect that they are so disorganised that they would not ba able to respond quickly enough and that would be sufficient for the claim to be successful.

You are probably right, i'm counting on it because i'll just file a claim online. Saves me writing a million letters and puts the onus into them. I once did this to A_Well_Known_Cellular_Provider. Got judgement:-) Sent the bailiffs 'round:-) enjoyed myself immensely!
