Tyres/Wheels on a coupe

Does anyone know the actual Max width of tyre (235?) and wheel (9J?) that fits on the coupe? I know we don't have the same problem as the avant rear, so does this mean we can go wider? Any BTDT's?

I ran 245\40\17 tyres no problem but just tried 8.5j 18 rims to
wide on a et 35 offset. could have spaced them but the wheel would stick out
of the arches.some guys do run 255 17 johnnyboy is using RS4 WHEEL 255\18.

I am running 245/40/17's on my Coupe on an 8.5j rim...

No rubbing or touching at all

I'm running 17X8.5 35ET with 5mm spacers and 255-40 tires with no rubbing and they don't stick out.

235 / 35 / 19 on 8J seems to have no issues, however when lowered it might start getting closer.... Doug would be able to best comment on this as his is lowered with the same size wheels.

Want to go down the 18's route. Looks like 8.5J seems to be the max then.

I've been told I can get 8.5J on the coupe with about a et25, anyone else done this?

That sounds about right i tried fitting some ABT wheels last week 18\8.5 et 35
but these needed spacing ,about 10mm because the track rod end would it the tyre
Decided on S8 wheel instead et 48 15mm spacer.hope this helps mark.

im running 8.x18 et35 on the avant with conti sports which have a very angular shoulder, very close to the track rod end (front) and rear trailing arm, but doesnt actually touch. My spare has a bridgestone potenza which has a much more rounded shoulder and gives way more clearance than the conti
