ecu & comp ? info please

Hi, sorry to be a pest again with the Q's
Has this reset the ecu.... lifted the red cover off & a 10 & 15 amp come out, to the right of that there was another 10amp, should that have come out aswell ?
Also the comp seems to have a mind of its own. It keeps telling me im gettin 200mpg & then suddenly im gettin 7mpg. Then today it says i have 85 miles left & then suddenly 50.

The red covers set at 90 degrees to the other fuses, saying Motuer or Motor or something like that?
They should pull out complete with the fuses, each red cover containing two fuses.

Take those out for a few minutes then plug back in (careful to put them back in their respective original positions) and the ECU should be reset. Sounds like you did it properly I think.

Remember to take it quite easy for the first few miles (say 20) as the ECU re-adapts afterwards though.

FYI the readings in the display - when they jump up to something like 200mpg (I've never managed that!!!) or drop to 7mpg, that's quite normal when showing the instantaneous mpg value. It drops like a stone when you floor the throttle! I've seen Kitty's go down to 5mpg.

The other reading sounds like the vehicle range, given the current fuel levels - it will also vary because the system is trying to compare a recent average fuel economy with the amount of fuel left in the tank. Floor the throttle a lot and the range goes down, but driving steadily on a motorway will yield a higher range.

Use the laptop with the Volkswagen Audi Group stuff on it and test it for fault codes stored in the ECU.

Like to keep my eyes on the road, as i fear the drop up that way
