Twin engined golfs have a habit of doing that!

Same thing happened with the Dubsport twin engined thing at Bruntingthorpe while John (or it might have been Ian, forget now) was driving. Oil line severed and sprayed onto the turbo. That was the result of wet Nitrous though i'm sure.

Not amusing. Someones hard work ruined in a flash. Wouldn't like it to happen to one of our cars and have the Golf boys say we deserve it.

Not nice, could have been worse, looks like no one was hurt....

                      Better luck next time.

I have never seen the attraction of twin engined cars myself. Show cars really...

I'd of felt kind of sorry if it was just an individual who had built the thing through blood sweat and tears. But it looked like a tuning company or whatever who have too much time on their hands.

Always thought twin engined Golfs were a stupid idea anyway. If you want to spend big bucks getting big power through 4 wheels in a Golf why not get a Rallye and tune that? Now thats a Golf!

...Rallye syncro set up does not like high torque, they let go soon after levels have exceeded 280 PS / 260 ft/lbs (tuned 16V G60 Limited)

The Ferrolli Brothers have taken a long hard time building and perfecting this car.
Its a real pity. I was due to go to the dyno day this happened at but chose to do a track event instead.

I have raced against the Ferrolis on Hill Climb events and their cars are awesome and their enthusiam attracts the crowds from far and wide.

Jees - that could have ended up a LOT worse than a burnt out car.

Gotta say something looked seriously wrong with the engine mountings - that rear engine was moving around far too much for my liking - long before a fuel/oil line burst.

I'll bet the next one they build has a rear firewall... Quite an oversight that !
