I love the evo integrale, but dislike the fact that
a)It's put together like a Fiat
b)Go through a puddle and you can hear the rust devouring panels.
Awsome car, in about 1993 Performance car Magazine put the UR against an Delta Evo 2, against an Escort Cossie, against a Skyline on a rally stage, on Tarmac in Wales.
The results were:
1st (Dont Hit Me ) Lancia Delta Evo 2
2nd UR quattro 0.8 secs behind
3rd Escort Cosworth 6 seconds behind
4th Skyline 14 seconds behind.
Not much between the first 2 but the younger generation car has a lot to learn in the handling stakes.

guys calm down ! if it wasn't for quattro the integrale wouldn't have been born either the arches the 4 wheel drive the rally success .lancia does look nice as well but it is as reliable as an english girl ! no offence to the girls on here .

I am fortunate enough to have both a UR and a S2. I love the s2 cos of the power and the wolves in sheeps clothing affect. But for driving experience and true road presence the UR is still even today one of the best cars on the road. If u saw a UR quattro steaming up behind u in your rear view mirror there is no other car in the world that would make u move over quicker, its the arches.

my brother was following me in my ur the other day and i agree theres no better sight.He used to own a 500 bhp mtm ur which was absolutely ballistic , low 3 sec to 60 and 10.5 sec 1/4.It was a left hooker in tornado red , unfortunately he had to sell it due to personal circumstances a few years ago.
One of my mates in manchester also has 500 bhp mtm ur in pearl white but hasnt driven it in 4 years apart from running it up to temperature every 2 weeks , will try and persuade him to bring it to audi driver international.

You think an Ur quattro looks scary looming behind you, try coping with a Ferrari Testerossa. This happenned to me a few years ago in my Ur, had to let him past, I was seriously holding him up.

That reminds me of being 'chased' down a winding A road by a spiritedly driven Diablo a few years ago whilst out with the ur (single box exhaust and all) - Petworth town Centre came to stand Anyway on the twisty bit's there was quite a bit of yo-yoing as the ur's grip and handling paid off only for the lambo to home in again.........And then after about 6 miles, we came to a long straight......I opened the driver's window to listen to that almighty V12 bellow, dust swirls kicking up from the venturi tunnels underneath and a small orange flash of flame on change up.......Our 200 odd bhp suddenly felt more like 12bhp!......Awesome run....Awesome Diablo.

now you are comparing a £10,000 car against £100,000 cars a 2.2 engine against 5 or 6 litre engines 5 cylinders against 12 cylinders 20valves against 48 valves! could a diablo beat s1 720 bhp on pikes peak hillclimb ? or at lemans ?could they beat audi for reliability ? for technology ? you are talking supercars that spend more time in the garage less on the road . i was in my quattro once when a ferrari driver pulled up next to me with his girlfriend next to him and should have seen him how much he was admiring the quattro. i rest my case gentlemen!
