No, but I have heard others talk about it. Have you done a search on it at all?

    Cheers,

It is quite a common problem, there is specific torque for these but i can't remember what it is. Hopefully someone else will post the figure.

Happened to me a while back, tightened plugs and felt an improvement. a few months later when car was serviced by dialynx, plugs were found to be loose. was told that once plugs have been tightened once and sealing washers have been flattened, if you remove them and try to refit them again they will work loose again. I was a little sceptical about this , but 3k miles after they fitted new plugs, they are still tight.

Think its this that also caused Doug to go large on his after the 3rd plug came out from where it belongs and stripped the end of the thread out with it.

Ive noticed mine come loose a few times as well, i tend to check them from time to time just to make sure now.

Yes its a common niggle - I think it can be caused by over-tightening the plugs - causing the sealing washers to flatten, grip to be reduced and the plug to loosen.

Gotta wonder if some kind of funkier / better seal washer can be found to reduce this problem.
