Oil Cooler for 3B - replacement options?

Hi,

just wondering what solutions there are to sorting out a split 3B oil cooler... basically, I've been looking to buy Chris' car but until this is fixed obviously it's not happening! Is there really nobody in the UK with these spare parts - it's been 2 weeks of trying to sort this out, and if I can't get it figured this weekend then it's a no-go for my much-anticiated trip to Castle Coombe next weekend!

So, if anyone has any ideas on where to get a part quickly or if there's any reasonably priced and minimal hassle 'conversion' to use another oil cooler that can be performed? As you can tell, I really don't have a clue on this one, so any help appreciated!

Anyone that can help out there??

VAG Parts list a 3b oil cooler. You have probably tried them already....but you never know.

www.allaudi.co.uk have an s2 they are breaking, may have one or try 4 rings spares in Doncaster as they might too. Failing that surely you must be able to use a mocul or similar oil cooler from the likes of Demon Tweaks etc?

I have a 19 row mocal where my aux rad was quick fix no over heating going to move it down when i have time

Hey, thanks so much for the replies... a question about the ebay cooler, will that fit the 3B?? Noticed that it's off a UR - this is what the guy said about it on the auction:

"sorry no part numbers thanks they are standard fit to a ur quattro 10v"

Other than that, got a possibility with an ABY cooler + pipes; would that take much to plumb in? Chris reckons the cooler + pipes are actually good, just the adjoining plate with the unions that has one threaded union on it; anyone have any experience in getting one done up custom?!
