    helping hand

Its the bigger senser coming out of the water manifold. If you are stood at the front of the car with the bonet up you will see the main water radiater. The senser is located just to the left of the radiator and maybe 10 cm further back under the air inlet manifold. To change it you will have to take the radiator out to gain access to swing a spanner. Mind out as the oil dip stick gets in the way!!! The senser is £70.56 + vat from Audi main dealers part number 034919369C. When you change it you may find that your old one has for pins in it and the new one only has three. This is right however so dont worry. Something to do with the senser taking its power from one of the other wires hence does not need its own power supply any more.

Hope this helps you on your way Ross.

You can get the multifunction sensor out without removing the radiator. It's a knuckle grazing job like most on the S2.

Shouldn't matter which wire is which, as the plug (brown) only fits in one position, you can't get it wrong. Unless the plug has broken up, and you have a bundle of wires in your hand...
