    Dyno2003

Well, tried to simulate an engine today. Problem is, Dyno2003 doesn't really feel like something that's supposed to be used on this side of the pond. Also, it seems like it's mainly for yankee-v8's... Too bad. So, anyone know of a better and more european engine simulator? Or, any of you used it and has some BTDT? Basically I'm having problems with the settings for the turbo. only ancient turbo's to choose from and not really any good parameters to set. Like, what's the island flow for a RS2 turbo for instance? And what's the surge flow?

Naturally, if you choose metric units you'd expect to get a consistant use of metric units. Oh no, not whn it comes to superchargers, then it's cfm, lbs and lbs/minute... Geez, there has to be a better SW than this. It's actually quite a bit of fun. Originally I just wanted to see what the differenece between 7A and stock cam would be - and them go evem further... Anyone with some BTDT on this matter?

Dynomation is the only sim software I've seen that has RS2 k24 details in it, if I remember correctly. If your are looking for a better software Dynomation and Engine Analyzer have both good reputation. Have no idea what Dyno2003 is like though.

I'm using Engine Analyzer and I have tried the differences of 7A and 3B cams in it. The difference isn't big, you gain some hp in top end and lose some in the lower revs. There's a much bigger numbers to gain if you just change the 3B cam timing to about the same as the ADU cams. It's been a while since I played with the software, can't remember all the details. I have now an extra 7A head and other bits to measure so I can make the simulation model a more exact. Maybe I post the the results as I get them finished.

Ok. I'm going to try and get my hands on Dynomation.

What's the difference between 3B and ADU timing? Oh and what about ABY?

I can help get camshaft data if you need it - I can also help with unit conversions from cfm to kg/s or whatever you like.

Ah ok. *cause that was another thing. What is the lobecenter on the following cams:

          Stock ABY int
          Stock ADU int
          Stock ABY exh
          Stock 7A exh

I'm going to fiddle with this some more tonight and try to learn more, but it seems I need dynomation to get any further.
