Rang a few so called "audi specialists " local to me, just enquiring about an oil change.
And i get the feeling they didnt know what they were talking about
i asked what oil they would put in in & they said the one thats suitable for the engine one said if i supply oil£45+vat, they supply it £65+vat
im not trusting them ??
waiting on Audi dealership service ringing me back, as my bf works nights & im wanting an iol change "like now" as woman do
Ive had a bad experience before with my gti-6 when i put it in a pug specialists & they forgot the oil after they drained it off, & i drove about fro 2weeks with it like that

You managed two weeks WITHOUT any oil???? I would expect about two minutes LOL

Most Dealers do not have a clue what an S2 is. Most garages do not seem to cater for anything that is a little special or out of the ordinary. Unfortunately I cannot recommend anyone at your end of the country, but it is just an oil chage you want, I would have thought any decent caring performance car specialist should be more than capable to do the job well with the parts you supply to them.

It's the dad of Greg_S on the forum and it's the place where the S2forum hold the annual garage meeting.

Been up there and it's worth the drive from Birmingham, be about the same drive from Stoke.

GTI-6 had a recall on them an most of the engines were replaced at some point.

The book on them says cambelt change at 70k and most belts snapped between 30-40k.

Cost Pug a fortune to replace the engines. I looked at them but the turning circle is naff!

Audi main dealer in Nottingham asked if an S2 was based on an A2 when I phoned and asked for a price on "an oil change for a 91 S2" my response was "did they make A2's in 1991" I was eventually quoted about £150 for a 10 minute job.
At that point I just hung up.

3 point turn in a 6 is 7 turns LOL, due to the short drive shafts. Loads of fun to drive tho, even tho 170bhp standard,

DIY for goodness sake - its an oil change - not an engine overhaul...

And the dealership won't know one end of an S2 from the other.

I can vouch for the other suggested places here - they definitely know an S2 !!!

Can't you boyfriend do it? It real is simple on the S2, undertray off and filter is there in all it's glory.
