    Audi Channel coming to Freeview

Whoo hoo! For all you Audi nuts (which is of course everyone here), but who don't have a SkyDigital system (quite a few I would imagine), the "GOOD" news is that the Audi Channel will soon be coming to a Freeview box near you. Now we can all "enjoy" all that quality new programming!

Ex S2 owner, now running around in an A4 Avant quattro...

Don't get TOO excited folks - its not the most entertaining TV you've ever seen - except the occasional 'heritage' footage they show of the WRC, TOCA & LMP history.

Mucho repeated to death and they picture quality is a far cry from the Beeb's benchmarks.

              Here here,

I have a fab new toy for freeview....like sky plus, only MUC better....a twin decoder with 160Gb hard disk

Not only can I record BBC1 and ITV at the same time (if I wanted too ) but I can also watch a third channel at the same time, as several channels are multiplexed together so I can watch any other channel in that recording multiplex

I have this connected to my home network, which in turn I connect to from the office, so I can sit here and program it to start recording ....just need to get rid of all the shopping channels and replace them with summut worth recording

              Cheers n

Is it integrated with a DTT receiver then ?
                Analog or digital outputs ?
Does it have a CAM slot ?
Just curious - who makes this PVR/DVR ?
Of course what would be really cool is the ability to watch/record channels on different multiplexes, but that's not so simple. Well it is - just not cheap

Been thinking about getting a PVR... Sky+ is a bit of a rip plus I hate giving them money anyway...

Sounds like a Topfield TF5800PVR, I have one and it's great when it's working, it wasn't so great when the BBC changed thier MHEG output and it went into a continual reboot cycle.
It's working now and has a new firmware that will hopefully fix the MHEG issue..

It seems to have a lot of Audi lifestyle stuff, and then some test drives, more lifestyle, then some interesting heritage stuff. Seems to repeat itself a lot, its not gonna keep you rivetted much past two days, but, the in depth stuff about Audi's history and of course UR's being rally driven in the early 80's is a sight and sound you'll never tire of :-).

I like it :-) lets have MORE!

If sky ever bring out the Merc or BMW chanel, then I smash the digi box to pieces!

I've recorded there UR quattro rally legend thing - there is an awesome section with no commentary or cheesy music. The only sound is an I5 turbo on full wail. That sound is just magical - takes me back over twenty years to midnight rally stages when men were men. OMG - the noise of those bursting thru the countryside just made your hair stand on end - still does...

The nearest thing I've riden in that produces anything like that noise is Tom or MarkH's car - the football sized turbo and open WG seem to do the trick. Especially on Toms with the added juice of turbo stall. Ahhhhhhh magic...

                        Correct...give that man a banana

I didn't bother upgrading mine, when the latest s/w came out, so I didn't get the BBC issues

Overall, I think it is a great box, I have only had 1 failed recording and no other issues.

@Paul, yes it has 2 cam slots. Below are the outputs.
