Sad Christmas pressie - A Torque Wrench

    Yes, I know.

Which one would be better to get for working on the S2, a 40-200Nm or a 60-300Nm. There is also an 8-60Nm but i dont want to really ask for 2 for Christmas.

I was just looking at the Halfords ones as i'm quite impressed with their tool quality.

Funny so was i, big ones are silly money, i found this fella on the bay, goes upto 700nm ...Mr Crank pulley isn’t going to me any grief no more.

Crank pulley and CV joints have the highest torque that i can see, up to 400nm, everything else seems to be 10nm up to 110nm so i was going to buy that big mofo and a small 10-100 one too. The ones you listed seem to have a good range, any i found were 20-100nm or 80-300nm, no happy medium. Teng Tools make a nice 15-110 that’s about a foot long, little bit bigger then a standard ratchet.

Basically you need a small wrench for low NM applications, say the 40-200nm, that should do engine work, suspension etc. And a large one for the crank and CV bolts.

    Mark.
