Sound ive not noticed

Hi, tonight when i pulled up at home, i let jimmy tickover for a minute or so & i heard what sounded like a sparking noise, but coming from steering column or under the dash.
Ive not noticed this before, so i just got my bag n radio out & alarmed him, just encase he was gonna go up in flames.

All electrics seem to be working fine, could it just be summit cooling down

It wasn't the exhaust "ticking" was it as it cooled down? Have you got a stainless system? these "tick" more than standard ones?? Was the car particularly hot after a long or spirited run?

There is a second relay board above your pedals. I had a dodgy relay in my old coupe which used to buzz sometimes...sounded like electrical arcing & sparking.

Having re read the original post I think I am WAY off...

I have just realised you are talking about inside the car....

sounded more like an electrical arcing, thats why i didnt stay in the car to find out.
It was rather hot, as i had been sittin in traffic, just seems strange as ive never noticed it before.
Its one of them things, if i hear summit, then to me it gets worse
I will have a listen again today for it & maybe have a feel about
