I heard many people saying that distilled water in the cooling line is bad, that it corrodes the radiator and stuf... it is for real or they are full of s...?
Any water on it's own will corrode and mess you water system up. Distilled has no limescale in it, and mixing with a good VAG antifreeze (G12+) is about the best you can do. I've used distilled water in cooling system for 10+ years with no problems.

Fourrings is exactly right - you ideally would want to use the correct mixture of distilled water and Audi coolant. UK tap water is fine with Audi coolant as well in all honesty though. Any type of water just on its own is bad in the long-run.
The thing to avoid putting in the coolant system is "Mineral Water" - stuff like Evian, as well as being a very expensive source of water, it contains lots of dissolved mineral deposits which will end up deposited on the inside of your cooling system.
