    EBay problems, what to do?

I won an auction on ebay on the 22nd of October, since then i have sent the seller half a dozen mails requesting the total inc shipping cost with no reply

What do i do? I havent paid for it yet, or should i?

    Thanks,

    Mark.

I wouldn't pay for it if the seller hasn't responded, no point losing money due to some numpty ebayer. Depends how much the item was and how much you want it! If the seller hasn't specified shipping costs then how are you supposed to pay them? Telepathy?! Wait it out. Just my tuppence worth.

report it to ebay as a nonselling seller. Ebay will put them off their site, if they do not respond. Send EBAY a copy of all correspondence on your part. Had that problem a little while back, and now the guy can no longer sell on ebay.

Request their details from ebay, quoting the ebay item number and the sellers name and they will give you the telephone number, ring it and see what they say.

That is all very well, but how many eBay accounts do you have? They will just start up under a different name Ebay have very little control over what happens, which means it is becoming more and more dangerous to buy things, particularly expensive things. Ebay just seems to be full of Chinese stuff which never arrives and dodgy nothern monkeys selling modified SEAT caliper carriers

Just a well I didn't charge you anything when I machined yours for you, dread to think what you'd be calling me just because I'm from "up noff"

there is the ebay toolbar which works with the IE and notifies you if the page you are viewing is a scam(therefore an ebay selling page),you can cross check with seller id etc...but nonetheless it is still dangerous!

There may be a genuine reason for him not replying. If it's possible to contact them another way, then it's worth trying that first IMO.

I'll try and get his contact details and see whats going on, from looking at his feedback hes had a few negative ones in the last few weeks, and whats more interesting is he has left other people feedback since then so the fecker is ignoring me

Name and shame i think, seller id is Bozohobo...

i'd be cautious as he has had a few negative vibes recently.
