Getting back on topic - I am SOOOOOOH happy that Audi have done this. I have long prattled on about my perfect Audi being one with a multivalve V8 engine, quattro drivetrain in a well sorted chassis.
The combination of that all alloy 4.2L FSI NON-TURBO engine delivering ~100bhp per liter is about right. Then couple that to a transmission which deliver roughly 100bhp to each wheel with zip nay any turbo lag whatsoever and you have a potential monster.
The sound was tremendous. Just delicious. This is the first time I can say I have ever really coveted an RS4.... Mmmmmmmmmm
