Variable Geometry Turbos - there has been a bit of talk on here about it as it's been on production Diesels for a while, very interesting to see them making it now in to "production" cars - and as we all know Porsche and VAG aren't that far apart. I think I recall Mihnea was talking about having mapped a car with variable geometry turbos recently - was that a petrol motor?

Buggatti also have this kind of turbos, 4 of them in the new veyron
I would like to know the part numbers, especially if appear that kind of turbos for the future GT2........

The main issue with this turbos was the exhaust temp, but at least we can see a progress in this area, porsche an bugatti.......... mmmmmmmmmm

I'll have to ask my buddy at the porsche R&D about how the VTG turbos are doing on the 997 turbo, the first tests were pretty bad as they were blowing up turbos weekly trying to get the planned 480 PS out of the new engine... I'll know more in the next few days...
