On Friday Bristol ground to a halt. Diff lock was required at one point! Reminded me that the rear wheels were driven a couple of times, a fact that can be easily forgotten on the black stuff in a standard S2. Would have been bloody good fun if it wasn't morning school run time with women crashing Corsas, Fiestas, Clios etc everywhere...

Yeah that's what really pisses me off when snow comes ! I love driving on snow ( definetly looking forward to testing the S2 Quattro when it will actually snows this year ) but to see all those other stupid, stupid drivers doing exactly what they shouldn't be doing to get going... It's just beyond me...
You see them with their steering locked and full throttle applied slipping all over the place when using their common sense would be more appropriate...
I mean, come on, since when did driving in the snow mean that everyone turns into a boy racer with no care for road rules or for other less unfortunate drivers ???

And what I hate even much more is when you've got someone stuck in front of you doing all the above, and you just happen to be using your brain and are able to start off and overtake them, they get so angry at you for rubbing their nose in their own mistakes. Last winter, driving my previous BMW 530i, I was at a traffic light and there was this woman in her Clio in front of me who; of course; when the light turned green, just basically floored it and stayed where she was and when I backed up a little to get some room to start off and pass her, after I had passed, she started honking and flashing her lights and then she actually got out of her car and threw an orange or something at me !!!!

I mean, I was LMAO so I just let it go and let her stay behind with her frustration but hey ! what's this world coming to ???

I bet you guyz who have already driven thru a winter season with a quattro have also come across this human sub-species known as stupid and frustrated snow drivers ???

We still have some snow left over from Friday, but I still don't have my car back. Been a month and a half now, talk about cold turkey.
