This is why I wash the car myself

    Linky (BBC News)
    Ck.
Shocked, exhausted, hosed, bushed, dumped, chipped, mounted, filtered, gauged, packed, intermittantly wiped and braked. I mean broken. Now, about the car...

How are they going to explain that one.

Something similar happened my mates Golf VR6, he took it for an mot, 2 hours later it was upside down in a pond miles from the garage, the 17 year old 'mechanic' was 'test driving' it.

On the odd occassion my car has been left somewhere, ive left it there practically empty of fuel.... if they wanna joy ride, its gonna cost them there own petrol money for starters! Plus i always note the mileage and get it signed by the guy at the garage

My mate works at a dealer so i get to hear about what they get up to!!!
Also a mate of mine used to work at the Mini place nr Oxford and he was saying about how they crashed cars moving them around and they just had panels repaired not replaced... these were brand new cars, getting ready to be sent to the buyer! crashed before they even got it!!!

Just read about this in the paper over lunch.
It seems the car wasn't standard. It had been supercharged and had a lot of engine work done to it.

The valet company are refusing to pay up saying the person who crashed it did not have permission from them to drive it!
They must have been quick to jump in because the owner was passed by fire engines racing to the scene of the accident just 12 minutes after he dropped it off.

I can see it going to the courts!

Doesn't bear thinking about with one of ours. At least he can go any buy a new one. (I am not saying its not sad though).

Another good reason to only leave your car with people / companies you trust. I hate leaving it with them even then....

                      Cheers,

                      Steve

well, Last month I left my car with preston audi, thought they would be the best pple to leave with. Came back with tints scratched to bits.

Manager gave me his company card then kept ignoring my calls / emails.

Still trying to chase him with a bill.

If u cant trust your audi with an audi dealer, who can u trust?

audi dealers are not the best. Better taking an audi to autowerk in gorgie

A mate of mine does valeting in his free time and he once told me that he always takes the customers car out for a drive. Mostly these are Jags, Ferarri's, Porsche's ... wich he floores when he drives them, I can tell you, he spends more time driving it than cleaning it...
