Recommendations re service and repairs - South East

Help, the guy whose been looking after my RS2 has sold his business and I need some recommendations for alternatives . Used a local(-ish!) Audi dealer for a couple of minor jobs as a stop gap but given that the car is shortly due a cambelt replacement and will also need new front discs and pads, has anyone any recommendations re good specialists or main dealers?

Depending on how mechanically minded you are, you could consider doing some of the work yourself.
It was recently agreed by most on here that the Halfords Professional toolsets are a very good set to have, along with being covered with there lifetime warrenty.
You will find tips, guides and other useful information on here for just about any job that you could ever want to do and even if there isnt, if you ask you're bound to get answers as i doubt there is much, if anything, that hasnt been done by someone in some shape or another.

End of the day, the way i look at most tasks, is that its only nuts and bolts.

We are also working on the FAQ section at the top of the forum, to incorporate all these guides, tips etc in an easily accesible format.

If you can face the journey, my experience thus far, drive to MRC at Banbury, well worth it , spotted things that other 'specialist' garages didn't.

If you can't face the journey Kim Collins/QST in Haywards heath are probably the closest. Experiences there seem to vary and some people often come away with much bigger bills than expected...

          Hope that helps

TAP www.theautopool.co.uk in Iver Bucks. They are very well respected and look after my S2...

            Cheers,

A second vote for MRC or the Autopool - though I think you could well spend more than you anticipated for all the RIGHT reasons with MRC, they know S2's
