Most dangerous city in the EU !!!!

    I just can't believe it !

Liège, Belgium has been officially dubbed by the European Commission as the most dangerous city to live in with an average of 256 crimes per 1000 inhabitants per year !!!

I thought the most dangerous city was either Manchester or Amsterdam or Palermo or Leeds or even Naples...

Well, what can I do about it, huh ? ****'all, that's what !

If you don't see me posting on the forum anymore, you'll know why...

Its always hard to tell. Over here some 'crimes' areant actually crimes as they are considered too petty. For example, Muggings, Assault and some Thefts.

So the crime figures dont always relate to actual figures. Also im sure alot of crimes go unreported.

Statistics are always an ****. In the Fire Service they are trying to justify massive cuts at the moment so to justify them the stats have been massaged. People no longer count as a fire death

          1) Death occurs if the fire started other than in the home
          2) Death occurs in the home when fire was started deliberately
          3) Death occurs where cause of the fire is not established
          4) If person involved has any alcohol in his system
          5) If person has non-prescription drugs in the body
          6) If house involved did not have a (working) fire detector fitted
          7) If you are killed escaping the fire (ie. Get out of fire and die later due to burns or injuries sustained in the fire)
          8) If more than one death occurs in the fire
          9) If fire is classified as non preventable

THis is fact and you should get on to your MP to ask him to explain how this can be allowed to happen before your local Fire Staion is axed and your family are put at risk.

On the other hand, when they want to show something in a bad light the stats are massaged the opposite way.
If 2 coaches crash into one another and one of the drivers proves to be over the limit, this ends up as 150 people involved in drink related incidents. Just a couple of examples.

Sorry about hijacking thread a little but rant over withy now and I feel that much better.
          Cheers

They get away with it for precisely that reason.... they pull wool over everyones eyes!
People put too much faith into what they read and hear on the news. Challenge your MP to come up with some answers and keep at him. \Nothing else will change things. Only you can get things changed and stand to lose or gain one way or another.

It's the same everywhere though, you feel safer with what you know.

I've worked in all major cities in england when i wasn't office based and i always feel safest in Birmingham.

Never felt safe up far up North people used to just stare at me as if they've never seen a black guy before. Don't they get MTV?

These days Dublin is full of foreigners and at the moment they are all here to rob us and the government blind. Worst offenders are the so called "refugees" who are nothing more than free loading blaggards who come to abuse the system and get a free house, social welfare, child support, medical card, and then have the nerve to knock on your door begging and nicking anything that isn’t bolted to the ground.

What really gets up my nose is an Irish single mother get £140 quid a week child allowance, has to join a waiting list for about 5 years to get a council house, and gets **** all else where any anybody can come into this country and get given a house for free with no intention to work at all, there only come here as they know they can get a free ride.

Its the system i blame, 20-30 years ago nobody came to Ireland so the entire system is up for abuse as they never even imagined we would ever get this much immigration. Were becoming a multicultural country faster than we can keep up with.

                          Ahh rant over
