    Good article, this:

    Here are some choice quotes though:

    the Veyron is equipped with an air brake. In the Bugatti, however, rear visbility remains intact even when the flap is up. "When you hit the pedal hard at 126 mph plus, the air brake gives 0.6 g of additional deceleration. At the same time, the downforce increases by up to 662 pounds. As a result, the rear wheels can brake harder without approaching lockup," says the chief engineer.
    the original Brembo brakes left something to be desired, too. That's why we ended up fitting 15.7-inch-diameter front and 15.0-inch rear ceramic rotors supplied by SGL and massive eight-piston front and six-piston rear AP Racing calipers.

                ROTFLMAO - An 'HIV' kit wouldn't be on my Santa list. Bet you wouldn't have to spend £600 either.

                Katrina - you must be awarded the unofficial (and politically incorrect) 'S2 owners bird of the year' award with this episode.

                a. You get on the forum to ask for suggestions !
                b. You have six hundred quid to spend ...

                      Depends on what type of lights Johnny has... The kits can be bought from VAGparts.com - ask to speak to Martyn and tell him the S2 forum sent you there. Price is well within your budget...

                      £600 - what a hoot. Other suggestions are an RS2 intercooler (if he hasn't got one) or a set of his favourite wheels.

                        @Karina

                        Sorry for the tease about the name of the kit, it's definitely an HID kit you're after.

                        Do you know what age of S2 John has? This will help tell you which type of kit you need to get - the older ones had normal lenses and used "H4" bulbs, the newer ones had "projector lenses" and use "H1" bulbs. Once you know that, call the rather excellent people at VAG Parts (there's a link to their website on this forum) and tell them you want an HID kit for a 19xx S2 and they should be able to tell you the right one to get.

                        The kits themselves take about 3-4 hours to fit and are fairly straight forward. The differences are quite striking.

                            Lol i was going to suggest a HID kit thats why i asked about the price.

                            Johnny's got a 3B but so he'll need a H4 kit.

                            Unless Bry can tell us if he's uprared the headlights?

                            Good Luck
