Headlights in UK vs America

Hi guys,
I need your help !

I saw those on ebay :

The guy seems to say that the aim and angel of these headlights are opposite of those for cars in North American (left-handed vehicules). Is he right ? If so, is it hard to fix so I could put it on my coupe and be OK to drive it ?

you can fit LHD lenses if you find a couple.If you had RS2 headlamps they have internal lever for RHD and LHD driving.

OK so I need more hard to find pieces again to make this work.. dammit !

As you say, it would be so much easier if I could find some RS2 headlights.. but those are pretty expensive and used one are really hard to find !!

you can buy the correct set for $565delivered from www.euro-audi-parts.com this was a group buy pricing but worth a try if your looking to save a buck.

Replacement LHD lenses aren't too expensive. Well, in the UK at least.

About 20GBP per glass IIRC.

No, but I can order them if I ever felt the need.

Actually guys - all the lamps are specific for left and right hand drive vehicles. Switching lenses won't fix the problem of light patterns. If you look at the parts catalogues, the lamps, lenses and internal reflectors are all LHD / RHD specific.

Even the RS2 ellipsoids are LHD / RHD specific. The lever inside does not convert the beam pattern, all it does is cut off an additional part of the beam pattern. Even less light output!

I talked with someone else today about this and he told me the exact same thing. So I guess it's not that big of an issue to have that little difference.

Do what alot of guys on the AudiWorld Forum do....

Get them from a German ebay seller or get them froma boneyard like AllAudi.
Of course shipping is what makes these babies hard too get. But I've used DHL and Fed-EX. They work for me. S2/RS2 headlites are an expensive mod so expect to cough up with serious dough.
