does anybody know if/how tweakable the 4.2 v8 engine is?i know its a n/a engine,the s8 has 360bhp and the 4.2 has 310 bhp,is it just a software change or is it more involved,any body know?

i heard on the grape vine that audi reprogram the ecu and gearbox and it makes it like the s8,dont quote me on it,someone i was talking to at work were on about it months ago.1990 100 2.2 10vqt 82k miles(now dead)
1990 90 2.3 20v 166k miles
1988 90 2.0 10v 181k miles

gearbox settings can be re programmed via vag com to s8 spec,difficult to find out which other bits add the extra 50 or so bhp..most likely better exhaust, cats,maybe different cams too?
