We've got absoloutely nothing here in SW London, and oddly this morning there wasn't even any frost/ condensation in or on the car. I would dearly love to wake up to fresh snow tomrrow though, come on!

Just come back from Lincolnshire, the run up there on the evening of the 27th was rather interesting, there was four of us in the car plus a bootful of luggage. The S2 performed faultlessly, but the roads were really, deceptively, tricky. It was snowing quite hard most of the way up (and got heavier the further north) but the roads were getting 'slush' build-up which was then freezing. So straight line stuff was okay, but lane changes were a 'heart-in-the-mouth' adventure as the slush and ice tugged at the steering. There were several other car's up trees and parked on top of the Armco.
As we come off the A1, the local roads were just white with about 2" of snow.....and the S2 was a dream.
Top Car - and it repeated the trick yesterday on the way home.

The roads here are now very dangerous, even walking on the street is dangerous...
Saw many cars sliding in different directions almost hitting other cars, anyone who drives a quattro is the king of the road

You have a point there, when my dad drove to work this morning the a6 suddenly began to slide, he couldn't keep it under control anymore, he was lucky that there was no car behind or in front him when that happened and that he didn't bump into anythingGlennComment

Big fat high performance, low profile, high temperature, agressive tread patterned summer tyres are almost useless in snow: no amount of quattro will overcome the sheer lack of performance in snow/ ice/ slush/ extreme cold. Be careful, or invest in a 2nd set of tyres for winter!Ex S2 owner, now running around in an A4 Avant quattro...

We've got a set of spike spyders lying around but we don't know how to fit them
Ice is no problem with spikesGlennComment

Massive snowstorm in Liege, 15cm of snow in the last 3-4 hours
I've only been living in Belgium for the last 10 years but my Mrs. says that this kind of weather hasn't occured for at least 20 years...
I couldn't resist driving in this powdery snow and WOW ! My BMW would never have made it up the hills I climbed :mischeif:
Right now, I can hear the local Quad guys having a bash !!!
Quattro rules in all it's forms !
Take care,
