and what should i see but my old s2
thought i'd be checky and ask for the reg plate
save me buying a new one but they won't let

I needed a 5 speed quattro box for my 80 Avant just before xmas. I ring 4skin and the bloke said £400 plus £50 postage.
I had a word with my mechanic to see if it was cheaper to rebuild the old box or replace so we decided it would be easier just to replace the whole thing, so I rang them back and she answered and said it'll be £250 and £35 postage so I kinda like her!!!

It's nigh on two years (29/01/2005) since I bopped mine. Though I was a lucky one and got to fix it.
Although come to think of it, was I lucky? it cost me a bloody fortune .
I told the insurance company to go forth and then fixed it myself, with the help of some very good people.
