RS2 top speed?

Hi does anyone know the top speed of the RS2? And if it is higher than the S2 is it geared differently? Thanks

Thanks guys i suppose it's not to much faster than the S2 so the RS2 might just rev higher

Peak power is higher of course and if that occurs at a higher rev range it'll hit a higher top speed without any changes in gearing...

the 6 speed gearbox in ur S6 + has a closer sixth gear than tha 2.2T box..

I have seen 165mph indicated and it was still accelerating

Speedos are usually anything up to 10% optimistic - an indicated 165 could be an actual on road speed of as low as 140mph...

as far as i understand we have discussion about rs2 factory top speed. i was copilot in friends hevely modified rs2, and top speed was about 300kmh

S2 / RS2 NOT Electronically Limited

I thought every S is the same. 155mph electronically limited.

S2 / RS2's and the rest of the 5 cylinder 20V turbo'd cars are 155 mph. They are not limited like the V6 5T engines, which means that 155 mph is the max the engine will push the car to in stock form.

I didnt think the engines were limited on top speed until about '95?

Mine is 95/96 and when i hit 155 it stopped. although i did see "some" life left on the rev counter, but it woudnt push so i assumed it was limited.
