Your right. The 5 cylinder "warble" IS hard to beat! I may be going the V6 Biturbo route, but I'll always have a soft spot for Audi's venerable 5 pot! I'm really gonna miss that soundtrack

OK OK - If its a desert-island-disc job then the I5 just gets it...
But I also go 'oooh' when I feel the rumble of a certain V8 Cobra replica that lives near me. Not as much as I went 'ahhhhhhh' when I was taken for a test run by Dax in their 454cu-in monster Tojeiro some years back. Jees that was a trip...

My next door neighbour has just got a TVR Ceberra. Looks good, but it IS running rather rich and rough! Fair rattles our windows from about a quarter of a mile away! :mad: They can't all sound like that surely?

I remember the days back in the mid 80's when I used to go to see the RAC Rally near Birmingham. The sound of a short wheelbase sport Quattro on full chat flying through the forest was music to my ears.........sweet sweet music

I agree, nicer than a V8 or V6 Biturbo. I'm gonna have to do some serious work to replicate that glorious 5 zyl "warble" in my RS4 - engined car.

Inner and outer CV joints shouldn't be too bad a job with right equipment. You will need a multi-spline socket for the bolts on inner CV joint and Circlip pliers to remove inner joint from shaft. If you were local I would have been more than happy to lend you the kit or even do the job for you.
A6 Avant Tdi 110 because as the fuel prices keep going up I am so happy to be getting 649.8 miles to a tank of diesel!! (£50)
