Porsche Cayman

Spotted a Cayman just before new year. Took this sneaky pic using my phone whilst waiting at the next pump.
First impressions are......ITS TINY! It was also filthy, so didn't give off the best impression. We were away before it started up, so I couldn't say what it sounded like, but its nicer in the flesh than in the magazines.

Isn't the Cayman basically a Boxter with a roof? That's one heck of a dirty car though!

Yes it is, but that makes for a much stiffer structure. Also it has a 3.4 l flat six, with a power output exactly halfway between the 3.2 in the Boxster S and the 3.6 in the 911. A lot of road testers suggest that it is actually better balanced, being mid-engined rather than rear-engined, than the 911 and faster round the Nurburgring, and of course £20K cheaper.
If I had one I would even give it a wash !

Yep, It's exactly in the middle of both cars in every way.

It handles very well though...better than the 911....so until you can afford the baby Lambo it's the car to have.....

Apparently they deliberately didn't give it an LSD on the rear as that would have made it handle better than the 911
