1st thing to check is the Paypal rules for residents of your country. If they allow it, you can get your bank account registered as the destination for where you would like funds to be transferred to. They have a process for setting this up, securing it and testing.

I have used Paypal for about 5 years now without any problems but you do need to be careful just like with all electronic banking/fund transfer systems.

          well how paypal works is . . . .

you open an account and you pay extra insurance against fraud.

Then a numpty with a stolen credit card makes a payment and paypal confirm the money. You send the goods out and paypal then inform you that you dont really have funds in your paypal account, coz it was a stolen card, and they appologise for taking a week in telling u this.

They then inform you that you cannot make a claim and to talk to the police, who will investigate the address and tell you the person who opened the door said "he moved out about an hour ago"

          Good luck

Damn Ski..that sounds like the worst experience I have ever heard someone having with paypal.

I lossed the link but there is a huge community of unhappy ex-users and lawyers trying to expose paypal and their policies even to the extent of a lawsuit...

Ever wondered why it was almost impossible to find their customer service phone line? Almost hidden on purpose.

I will only use paypal now for sales with patrons of prior dealings or great confidence in. I recommend using your credit cards to fund payment always. Atleast VISA will fight to get your money back if Paypal screws you
              Cheers mis amigos,
              _Anton

Ski must have been stung before ebay bought it. The have sorted out most of the pitfalls it use to have. You are actually protected through fraud now

I know someone who sold there car and was paid via paypal, the funds were confirmed as arriving etc, car went, 2 weeks later, funds gone again as it was a stolen card..... no cash, no car! They were as useful as a chocolate teapot! But the car was tracked down and recovered, thankfully undamaged surprisingly enough!
