There are a few threads here on insurance quotes - have a search and do a bit of reading, but I would recommend you try www.confused.com - its an online comparator system so you should find a good deal through them.

I would also strongly recommend that you put an older, female, license holder as named driver on your policy - suggest mother, elder sister etc. It can make quite a reduction. Other tips to reduce premium include getting a Thatcham Cat 1 Alarm fitted, restricting your mileage, and keeping the car's specification standard. Oh and try not to get too many points on your license!

Well i have to renew soon as well so I phoned my current insurers elephant to see if they were still good value and was amazed how much LOWER my insurance is this year just by having a restricted mileage policy of 10,000 miles a year!

My full comp renewal with the mods declared and the wife as a named was £276 for the year full comp. Being the other side of 40 and insuring outside of London really has some benefits! www.elephant.co.uk

BUT..... we all know, do a small amount of damage to your S2 and elephant will write it off!! this is problably the same with all the insurance companies I bet.

pleasantly surprised by http://www.noeldazely.co.uk for an RS2

33, 8 yrs protected NCB, clean license, dodgy SE London postcode, driveway, no alarm stipulations, no mileage restrictions, 250XS = £725.

Sounds high, but other companies couldnt get below a grand unless I paid a ridiculous XS. That includes Elephant, Direct Line, Privilege, Tesco, Adrian Flux.....

Cheapest isn't always best, but works for me this time!

                  Cheers

Exactley. I was coming in at around the £800 mark........
I have exactley the same policy as you through Noel Dazely. Its amzing how much difference a postcode can make. There is what, about 10 miles between us, and yet mine is a Just over the £500 mark.........

@ Martin, thats a cracking premium.

If you have an RS2, why don't you put in on a classic car insurance??? You'll save hundreds!!
I'm 37, wife is 25, we have 5 cars on our classic car insurance, all have agreed value and unlimited mileage and it's £949 a year for the lot!!!
                              Those cars are:
                              1995 Audi RS2
                              1972 Porsche 914/4 (modified)
                              1980 Porsche 911 Turbo
                              1964 Volkswagen Type 3 Squareback
1973 Volkswagen Westfalia Bay window van.
                              Wolverhampton postcode and clean licence!

                              and the excess is £150!
