    boge lowering springs question?

i am putting some lowered springs on my coupe 20v quattro and put the front spring against the original spring and the heigts look the same ? they are supposed to be 30mm lower , or is it compresses when the car weights on them

I've never heard of Boge lowered springs. What's the part number of your new springs as it sounds like you have standard springs.

The free length may not be a good indication.

Get a long length of timber jam one end under something very heavy, put the spring 1/3rd of the way along and use the 2/3rd length to see if it squashes more for the same amount of weight.

Shorter springs are usually stronger and more difficult to squash.....
