    Wierd HID effects last night.

My HID's caused something I've never seen last night.
THICK THICK freezing fog and a temp of -5.5°c and it was like I was driving through a cloud of sugar. Could actually see the light reflected off the ice crystals in the fog.

    Very spooky indeed

Anyone seen this with HID's ?

I had a similar experience in some extremely heavy rain/ spray on the M-25 last year, it was torrential rain and the HIDs were causing a lot of reflected light in the spray/ water droplets so that it looked like I was driving through fog - I guess with the light being so much brighter in the first place, you'll get more reflected back when it does?

Did you take any pictures of your ice trip?!

The "rule" of spelling should be

I before E except after all those occasions when it isn't...

I did have my digi camera in the car, but I was 50% fascinated with the light show and 100% concentrating on driving in fog when visability was down to 25 metres or so.
Yep, after last years crash I drive at 150%

Although I've never come across a word like "abnomalous" before - you mean either

                  anomalous

                  or

                  abnormal

I believe "I put the Ming back in Birmingham" during my time there at university - we had t-shirts made up with that phrase on them...
