He's still not been found guilty. It just means that he's going back to court again.

Probably not. For a first offense, even at considerably over 100MPH, you are unlikely to get a custodial sentence (speaking from personal experience hereOriginally posted by Sidspud

The highest recorded conviction in the UK is a car dealer caught doing 156 in an M3. He got 5 months in prison and a 4 year ban, for dangerous driving AND driving whilst disqualified
He was clocked at 120.6mph in a 40mph zone and 156.7mph in a 70mph. Makes you wonder why he was not stopped in the 40 zone eh? 
Without the previous disqualification and the fact that he was driving whilst serving it, a good lawyer would have kept his sentence down to just the ban and fine.....personal experience again

I have BTDT so I do have a fair idea of the penalties The only thing we cannot gauge is whether he will get it worse as he is an Officer of the law, or whther the will be more lenient as he is a trained driver.....time will tell
